In these lessons I’m going to show you what you need to know and why you need to know it. This may sound a bit simple, but the truth is that there is so much information, so many different paths that you can take to learn about web design that it can and often is overwhelming. This method removes the obstacles.

No More Wasted Time

It’s all too easy to drift around on the web, reading bits of this and bits of that, sucking down a little information over here only to have another site say something different as it all drifts out of our minds. Over the years I have personally wasted too much time trying to sift through all the information only to come out the other end with nothing to show for it. You can avoid that.

I’ve created these lessons to help people who want to learn a new skill and start a new career. And I’m doing it by filtering out all the time wasting junk, so that you can start right away.

A Short Course

Are you willing to put in an hour a day for three weeks to learn what it takes to become a Web Designer? Of course you are. Great, because what I have for you is a quick and concise path that will take you there. And I lay it out for you in seven simple lessons, finishing off with a grand Finale, where I will show you how you can create what I believe is as close to a “Perfect Site,” as there is, all within three hours.

Get It Right From The Beginning

You will learn what you need to have, what you need to know, and how to apply it to your new business.  I’ll show you the free tools that web designers use and I’ll show you where to find them. I’ll will lead you along as you build your new skills, so that within three weeks you will be able to call yourself a web designer. Actually, if you follow my advice you might be doing web design sooner. We’ll talk more about this in the lessons.

Avoiding Information Overload

You will also be given a list of resources to explore and learn from. There is a huge problem that we all have when trying to learn something new and that is “Information Overload”. I’ve been doing web design for a long time and there are many wonderful resources, too many. I am going to show you the resources that you need to study immediately, resources that come from the top designers in the business. These people have been around for a long time and they are seriously deep into web design. These are the designers and developers that designers and developers read and listen to.

In Seven Modules

There are seven simple lessons that will give you a strong foundation to grow from. All of the information that I am presenting here is known to every web designer. There are no secrets. I don’t have a super scientific way of working that blows away the competition. There is nothing complex and sophisticated about it. What I have here is only what you need to know. Maybe it is sophisticated simplicity. There isn’t any junk, no crap, nothing for you to waste your time trying to understand.

This is the easy way.  All that is required is for you to put in a little time, a lot of effort, and a good amount of focus. And it is my job to give you the right learning environment and great direction. Time, Effort, Focus + Direction (Positive) = Success.

  1. The Set Up
  2. XHTML & CSS
  3. Hosting & Domain Names, FTP (File Transfer Protocol)
  4. CMS (Content Management Systems)
  5. Design Principles
  6. Putting It All Together
  7. Finale “The Perfect Site” in 3 Hours

A New Career

If you want a new career than you will have one. Web Design is the most accessible business that I have ever seen. No other business that I know of has such low start up costs with such high demand. And all you have to do is do it; take action.

Easier Than You Think?

You will recoup this costs with one client. We will talk more about picking up clients later on. But just to give you a taste of how easy it can be, as soon as you start these lessons you must begin telling everyone you know and meet what you are doing. Trust me on this one. You will begin to pick up interest and clients so fast that you will not know what to do with yourself. Be honest about your skill level. Let your enthusiasm work for you.

So, here before you is a path that will unlock doors to a new career, allowing you the freedom to become your own boss. If you want to work from a coffee shop, book store, or from your living room you can. If you want to work for three months then take of two you will. If you want to be a Super Uber designer this will give you a great base to fly from. The world is yours if you want it.

The Base To Grow From: Nothing To Lose

What you will learn in these lessons will benefit you as a new web designer. This is the stuff that everyone needs to know. This material is essential to your development and growth. The goal here is to get you up and running quickly while building an extremely solid base. After you finish these lessons you may choose many different paths. You may be more interested in design than development, you may find you enjoy creating content more than coding websites, or maybe your strength is interacting with the clients which will lead you to working in tandem with other designers, which will be easy now that you know web design. The possibilities are endless.
